Nature's Resort Homosassa, Florida

Can anyone provide some info that has stayed here? I went on rvparkreviews and there are only 2 posts, one from 2008 and the other from 2006. There site has pics but not very many of the rv sites. I have a 40ft class A and want to make sure the sites are roomy enough. If anyone has any pics that would be great. As always thanks!

Hilton Head

We are thinking of planning a trip there. I've read reviews on a few rv resorts. Does anyone have a preference? Also are there things other than golf to do in the immediate area?
Thanks all!

RE: 2009 Myrtle Beach

We just came back from one week at Pirateland. We stayed in a premium ocean site. My sister and her family met us in their motorhome. We all had a great time there and would definitely return. The park was packed. Surprisingly as crowded as it was there was never any problems and the entire park was very quiet after 10pm. The beach was awesome and the pool and lazy river ride were great. We never had a problem getting in or out with our 40ft DP and my brother-in-law and sister didn't either with their 37ft motorhome. Sure there are golf carts but nothing that created a problem. The golf cart parade in the evening was a hoot and we participated every night. Met some great groups of people. We spoke to several campers that have stayed at both Lakewood and Ocean Lakes and they all seemed to prefer Pirateland. We have not stayed at either. I did not hear very nice things at all about Lakewood. A few people claimed it was a very religious type of atmosphere with people and kids going around to sites with pamphlets promoting their beliefs. So I guess its all what you are looking for in a campground. All I know is we all had a blast and are planning to go back again next year.

RE: Bryce Canyon - Utah

We were there in may. We did not stay at any RV park however, my sister has a place in St George. Bryce is by far one of the most beautiful places out west to hike. We did check out some rv parks. There was one in Bryce....I believe it was Ruby's.....ok place if you want to be in the park itself. I would pick Zion river rv resort....I think that's the name. Its about 30 minutes from Bryce. It is definitely an rv resort...ie paved sites, pool etc.....it borders a nice river. If we were to travel out there with the RV that's where we would stay.....check out RVPARKREVIEWS.com. They provide excellent reviews of any campsite.

RE: Has anyone ever stayed at the Fayetteville NC KOA?

We've stayed at that KOA twice on our way up to Ma. Both heading up and heading back. Very nice clean KOA. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites were large and can accommodate up to 45ft rv easily. Nice pool area. Its easily accessible from I-95. I would definitely recommend it and we plan on staying there again.

Direct TV to Dish

We are thinking of changing from Direct TV to Dish network. We have a TracVision satellite in the motorhome. Anything special we need to know about this conversion before we make the switch? Can we simply replace the boxes, or do we need to change settings?

Campground suggestions

Headin up to Myrtle Beach from Spring Hill Fl in Aug. We are looking for an overnight stay somewhere between Jacksonville and Savannah. Would like something right off 95 so we can hit the road early the next day. We are trying to split the driving equally, so we plan on driving about 250 miles. Does anyone have some good suggestions?
Thanks

Hilton Head

We've been looking at both the Outdoor Resorts and the Hilton Head RV resort for a long 5 day weekend. I've checked out both websites and on rvpark reviews. Both look very nice, nothing bad in the way of reviews. Anyone stay at either, if so, what was your preference?
Thanks

RE: Cherry hill park in Md.

We were at Cherry Hill last year for 2 days as a stop over while we headed to Ma. Not sure what you are traveling in but we have a 39ft DP and found the sites to be extremely tight and a bit difficult to get in and out of. In fact we had to switch sites because the one they had assigned us had a huge drop off at the RV door and we could barely fit in the site. It was a corner lot, the front end of the coach was sticking a little bit into the road. The park was very busy and we had visions of a motorhome turning the corner and taking out our front end. We ended up paying more for a premium site. That always amazes me when this happens as they know your size when you make reservations. We found the park to be showing signs of neglect. The pool area and entrance was nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. You are right off a major highway so in certain parts of the park the road noise is very noticable. Some sites had gravel and paver type pads and patios. As far as bike riding you will be limited to the campground, unless there are local bike trails that I'm not aware of. We went there with friends that had been there a couple of years prior and raved about. They too were disappointed at the condition. IMO we would not return there again, for the price it was not worth what you got. The cost was not the issue but rather the value associated with it.

RE: Ever been a prisoner in a campground??

I have no problem with a secure cmpground, however, suppose there was a medical emergency and no one was able to get in or get out???? We live in an extremely litigous society these days. Seems to me that this campground puts themselves in great risk for a potential lawsuit.
